Taxes

All property is assessed as of January 1 of the given year. Any cars, trucks, or other property that are owned on January 1 is what you will be taxed for in that calendar year.

Taxes become due and payable November 1 and become delinquent after December 31. Any taxes paid after December 31 are subject to penalties. Real estate and personal property taxes for the City of Cameron can be paid at City Hall at 205 North Main.

Citizens who are new residents of Cameron or those who have moved during the year may need to contact the County Assessors Office to have your personal property added to the tax rolls and assessed.
