Cameron's 17% real population growth in the last census tops all rural cities in North Missouri. In the past decade sales tax revenue has doubled while building over 600 new housing units and creating over 1,000 new jobs.
The 140-acre Crossroads Corporate Center is nearing capacity while 16 industrial and commercial sites are available from 25 to over 500 acres. Cameron's aggressive incentive policy, established TIF districts and use of Mo. Ch. 100 IDBs have proven successful in attracting business. Cameron is a member of the Kansas City Area Development Council.
