1. What do I do if I see a lot of water running down the street or sidewalk?

Contact City Hall at (816) 632-2177 during business hours or the Water Plant at (816) 632-2844 after hours to report the situation. Report a concern

2. Can I connect my downspout to the sanitary sewer?

No. Downspouts, sump pumps, foundation drains, and other stormwater collections must drain to daylight or to the City stormwater system. Only sinks, tubs, washers, and toilets may be connected to the sanitary sewer system.

3. Will the City extend water or sewer to my property?

It is the developer or property owner's responsibility to extend utilities, streets and infrastructure. Cost sharing may be possible with neighboring property owners.
